FOR SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS
Schools and other institutions that serve individuals who are blind and visually impaired or physically or reading disabled are eligible to become patrons of the Braille Institute Library. When an institution becomes a patron, it is sent a depository collection of braille and recorded books and magazines for its eligible clients to use.
What types of institutions are eligible to become patrons?
Any organization or institution who serves individuals that are blind and visually impaired or physically or reading disabled may qualify to receive a depository collection.
How can my institution apply?
An application must be submitted by the institution stating that it serves one or more disabled individuals, and an agreement must be signed to ensure that someone will be responsible for the maintenance of cassette players and the return of books and magazines.
TO APPLY:
Our application for schools and institutions is available for downloading as a PDF file:

You will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to view this (and all) PDF files. If you do not already have the Acrobat Reader installed, you may download it now free of charge by clicking here.

Get Acrobat Reader Note: Adobe Reader works with screen-reader software, and Adobe Reader 7 there has a built-in audio utility that will read the text aloud.
If you have trouble downloading this form, please call the Library's toll-free line at 1-800-808-2555 and we'll be happy to send it to you by standard mail.
